Jello Dragon Cabin, Thursday

After the excitement of yesterday, Cassidy was in the living room area of her cabin writing things down in her journal. After all, even if she couldn't write home about certain things, she could at least keep a written account of her activities and adventures here, right?

There had been a lot of writing as of late as she had been introduced to all sorts of new things. She liked the difference of the cabins, but she had to confess that she missed Hiccup a great deal. He was a good roommate and he was fun to talk to.

After deciding that she would go and look for him and Toothless to say hello a little later, she bent her head back over her journal.

... and then Karla and I decided that it would be a very friendly thing of me to do in teaching the people (mostly the males) that I live in this cabin with how to play Cradle. We both agreed that it would be a lot of fun for everybody...

Raven had been heading over to Anakin's office for her usual weekly visit but decided to stop by Jello Dragon to check in on Cassidy first to make certain she was all right after the invisibility yesterday. She knew Karla had probably helped her if she had panicked at all, but still. This was Raven.

She peeked into the cabin. "Hello, Cassidy," she said with a wave.

Cassidy looked up and smiled when she heard Raven's voice.

"Hello, Raven," she said, standing up and vanishing her journal. "Come in. How are you today?"

"I am well, thank you," Raven said, stepping inside. "How are you?"

She smiled. "Oh good. I'm just fine, thank you. Yesterday was a surprise and very interesting, but there was no damage done and it wasn't like Tara -- is that her name -- was trying to harm anyone." She grinned. "It was actually a little exciting to see. I've never been vanished before."

"Nor have I," Raven said, "and while it was somewhat disconcerting not being able to see myself" -- it made going down stairs extra fun when you couldn't see your feet -- "no real harm was done. Tara does feel badly about what happened but we all make mistakes, and hers was of very little consequence compared to what others have done." Like her own accidentally making people fall in love with her.

"No one was hurt and we all learned that anything could happen and we have to adapt simple behaviors when it does." Cassidy looked concerned. "Please tell me that nobody has been mean to her over this? Every witch makes mistakes and it's not right to make her feel even worse. We never get better at things unless we do make the mistakes."

Easy Cassidy. Tara wasn't one of your people that you need to fight for.

Raven shook her head. "I do not believe so," she said. "She was harder on herself than anyone else might be." And anyone who might be hard on her about it would have to face Raven's fiery...scolding.

"Perhaps I should make her something tasty to make her feel better." Cassidy shook her head. "She was so nice and nervous and she shouldn't be so hard on herself."

"She would probably appreciate that," Raven said brightly. Unless Cassidy's cooking skills were on par with Karla's.

"Then I'll definitely make time to do that for her," Cassidy decided with a smile. "It would seem that she could use a treat."

No, Raven, Cassidy was a pretty good cook. She might make you cookies, too.

"You should make enough for Kennedy, her girlfriend, as well," Raven advised. "I am certain Tara would want to share with her." And enough for Raven, please.

"I can do that," Cassidy nodded, calling in one of her notepads to write notes on. "It would be unfair not to make her enough to share with her girlfriend, as well." Speaking of fair, she tilted her head. "Do you like chocolate, Raven?"

Like she was going to talk about this idea and not make some for Raven? Please.

"Oh yes," Raven said, perking up. "Very much so."

Cassidy nodded and then grinned at her. "So you might like some of my mother's fudge chunk tarts, then. They're very good and very chocolatey. They've long been one of my favorite things so she finally had to teach me to make them."

"I think I would like that very much," Raven said, smiling back. "I would even be happy to help you make them."

Cassidy grinned. "I would enjoy having your help in the kitchen with me, Raven."

She really did sincerely mean that.

She could follow directions fine! Just don't ask her to improvise.

"I was on my way to see Professor Skywalker for our weekly meeting," Raven told Cassidy, reluctantly dragging her attention away from chocolatey goodness. "Would you like to come with me so you can meet him and officially join the fan club?"

Cassidy perked up even more and vanished the notepad and pen.

"Oh, Raven, I'd like that very much." They should make t-shirts or buttons...

"As I told you, he has been so very helpful to me since I first came here a year ago," Raven said, always happy for the opportunity to fangirl Anakin. "He taught me how to shield myself from the emotions of those around me. Without him I surely would have gone mad. If you ever are in need of aid with your gifts, he would be the first I would recommend you speak to."

"He sounds like a good and respectable male. I have heard that in some places those are a rarity." A frowned crossed her features as she remembered why she had been sent here in the first place. Cassidy nodded, seriously thinking about this. "Back home I had my Craft teacher and a couple of Black Widows that would teach me, but coming here has been the first time I have been without the wisdom and guidance of my teachers and Sisters." Don't get her wrong, she had Karla, and she was grateful for that, but it wasn't exactly the same.

"He is very good and respectable and dreamy," Raven beamed. "Shall we go then?"

Somewhere, Kennedy was facepalming and saying "...GOD, RAVEN."
